Where You Can Feel the Art of Handcrafting
Since its foundation in 1964, Iyobe Kogei has supplied furniture to some of Japan’s most iconic institutions, including the Imperial Household Agency, the State Guest House, and the National Diet Building. We were commissioned to design the interior of their Tokyo showroom, which showcases the refined living spaces created by their new brand, ‘IYB.’.
Guided by the philosophy of ‘Bespoke Furniture’, the interior design expresses a harmonious relationship between the furniture—crafted to reflect the user’s aesthetic sensibilities and lifestyle, much like a tailor designing garments for each individual—and the surrounding space.
